At Green Mountain Dog Training, we love what we do. Our team consists of people who have transformed their passion for man’s best friend into a career. We are all certified dog trainers, and we love getting to help fellow owners learn more about communicating with their pets.
We are a Vermont dog training company that is passionate about what we do.
Most dog trainers choose their career path because they know from experience how frustrating undesirable canine behavior can be. That’s true for us, too. We’ve learned how to help our pet/owner relationships, we loved the journey, and now we want to pay it forward.
After all, without knowledgeable help, a few undesirable traits can become detrimental to the dog/owner relationship. Behind many abandoned and rehomed dogs lies an owner who just didn’t have the support they needed.

Being proactive is always better than being reactive, and that’s why we recommend hiring a trainer immediately after bringing your dog home. One of our in-home dog training program highlights is that you never pay by the hour. There is a small fee for the no-obligation in-home consultation, during which we make a thorough examination of your dog’s behavior and discuss your goals. We then design a regimen for your dog that fits well with your household and lifestyle.
If you choose to work with us, you will then pay one flat fee, which covers all training costs until your dog’s behavioral goals are met. Whether it takes one month or one year, we remain dedicated to you and your dog until training is complete.
What do you get for your money?
The Green Mountain Dog Training team consists of professional trainers that have been certified by Canine Trade Group. In order to receive certification, all trainers must study canine history, psychology, training methodology and sit through a written examination. Upon successful completion, they have to prove themselves in the field. Only after they’ve gained plenty of experience and proven their knowledge are they considered certified professionals.
