VERMONT DOG TRAINING
Green Mountain Dog Training in Vermont is here for all of your in-home dog training needs.
Sometimes, the life you think you’ll have with your dog and the life you have are two very different things. The issues that cause tension between dog and owner are most often behavior-related.
Reaching out for help with your dog’s behavior can be difficult, and it’s normal for that call to come with some unpleasant emotional layers. We see clients that feel frustrated, guilty, and skeptical, and we’re here to tell you that it’s okay.

Training Designed for YOUR Dog
Our goal is to turn your relationship around and create a better future for you and your pup.
It’s okay to feel frustrated that your dog doesn’t listen. You may have some guilt over the ways you’ve tried to handle your dog’s behavior in the past. Maybe you’ve been through a training program before. If another trainer couldn’t help, why would your experience with Green Mountain Dog Training be any different?
There are a few qualities that set us apart:
- Certification
You may be surprised to learn that there are no regulations for dog training. That means anyone can call themselves a dog trainer whether they’ve studied the art of canine behavior or not. Our trainers have put in the hours and received a Canine Trade Group certification.
- Experience
As you may have guessed, we all have a passion for dogs. More importantly, we have a passion for helping to create a healthy relationship between dogs and people. Before receiving certification, we gained field experience by working with some of the toughest behavioral cases from local dog owners and shelters.
- Customization
Customized training is the core of our philosophy. No two dogs are the same, so no two training programs should be the same. We create individualized programs based on the dog’s behavior, the family’s lifestyle, and the needs of the family unit. In-home dog training allows us to work this way.
